Well to get to the actual on goings of the weekend the first scrimmages have began and tweets and all that news jazz is coming on.

Roster listings of the split team makeup is here: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=107643

Some events I've read say Dano-Toews-Hossa have been playing together and had good possession so it supports that potentially becoming a line like many figured.

Apparently Kane had an assist to Desjardins and the crowd erupted in glee.

countryman line with the young and old slovakians. We can match some russians too if we choose.

So far I see pecking orders shaping up something like.

Dano-Toews-Hossa
Tuevo-AA-Kane
Bickell-McNeil-Panarin
Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw

Garbutt, Paille, Mashinter, Baun, Hobgoblin, Morin, Hartman

Keith
Seabs
Hammer
Daley
TVR
Runblaad
Gustafson
Jardine
Svedberg

I think Rodavan Bondra and Ville Pokka can aleviate some roster issues in 1-2 years but neither look ready to me yet.

Center is a weak position. Lets hope McNeil or Danult when he returns can fill it in. We may end up playing Kruger third line and having to hack the fourth line with Tikhinov or other gritty wing players. I mean **** if we waste Shaw that way....but we might have to.

I want to add that our bench would be tough, gritty, and professional as opposed to young, dumb, or raw. That bench will bring energy and toughness throughout the season. We have extreme depth of third/fourth line level guys.

See the Icehogs lost last night. Looks like Crow got one period and Leighton got 2 periods.

Yeah...Detroit was playing top 6 starters and we lost. haha.

Shaw had a field day, skating free and taking a point blank shot. It wasn't the best played game ever, and Pokka didn't look ready.

Jeremy Morin has to hate everything about Quenneville by this point.

Not that I think Q is wrong, of course.

Morin and Tropp both made it to Rockford, Morin is home where he can score points for now.

The only player on that reduction list I wanted to see more of was Sam Jardine.

Mashinter was playing hard for it. I liked his tenacity and grit.

Was pretty surprised when Hejda and Visnovsky got released from their PTO. Cumiskey is still with the team on a PTO. Really figured that Q would want a vet guy to be his #6/7 but if those guys didn't have enough left in the tank, then that's the way it goes. Pretty interested to see who gets that #6/7 spot heading into the regular season. Right now you likely have TVR/Rundblad/Rozsival as the 5/6/7 (not in any particular order) but I'd be surprised if Q feels good with that right now.

TVR and Rozsival as 5/6 with Runblad spelling Roszival seems OK to me, though I thought Visnovsky played pretty well before he was released.

They are saying that Rozsival "should" be ready for game 1 of the regular season but I haven't seen any recent indication of that. I'm still not a big Rundblad fan at all but I suppose it is what it is right now. Just don't know how the Blackhawks can manage and make it through the season with playing 4 dmen again. Hoping that someone steps up in that #5/6 spot this year and gives the top 4 a break.
