TEAM RECORDS
CHI: 11-6-4, 26 PTS
DET: 6-13-3, 15 PTS

LAST TIME OUT
The Blackhawks picked up their second shutout of the season on Thursday night in Columbus, 2-0 over the Blue Jackets. Patrick Kane scored his first game-winner of the season and Carl Soderberg scored an empty-netter to seal the win in the final minutes. Malcolm Subban earned his third straight victory in goal and his first shutout as a Blackhawk.

The Red Wings took a 5-2 victory over the Nashville Predators on Thursday night with Sam Gagner posting his first NHL hat trick in over nine years in the win. Jonathan Bernier made 37 saves in the victory, his fifth of the season. Dylan Larkin (4G, 7A) and Bobby Ryan (5G, 6A) share the scoring lead this season for Detroit.

Chicago is 4-0-0 against the Red Wings during the 2020-21 campaign, allowing two goals or fewer in each of the four games. Their six markers on Jan. 24 vs. the Red Wings matches a season high (Feb. 4). Alex DeBrincat has a point in seven of 10 career games against the Red Wings and his 13 points (5G, 8A) are his most against any opponent

HISTORY

Dating back to the 2011-12 season, the Blackhawks are 20-4-4 and allowing just 2.07 goals-per game against the Red Wings.

ONE AWAY
Kane tallied his 399th career marker on Thursday night. He is one goal away from becoming the fourth Blackhawks player in franchise history to record 400 goals with the club, as well as the 10th active NHL player, ninth US-born player and the 100th NHLer to hit the 400-goal mark.

Kane is also six games away from the 1,000th of his NHL career. He shares third in the league with 31 points and with 21 helpers during the 2020-21 campaign.

MALCOLM IN THE PIPES
Subban recorded his second career NNHL shutout by stopping all 26 shots he faced Thursday. It was his first as a Blackhawk a year and a day after he was acquired from Vegas. Since Jan. 26, Subban is 3-0-1 and leads the league with a .952 SV% and 1.44 goals-against average (min. 4 appearances).

FANTASTIC FEBRUARY
Chicago shares third in the NHL with eight wins this month. Their two regulation losses in February share the fewest in the league. Kane shares the league lead with Auston Matthews with 21 points (6G, 15A) this month.

ROOKIES ROARIN'
Pius Suter and Philipp Kurashev are first and second among rookie goal scoring leaders during the 2020-21 campaign. Suter shares third with 11 points and Kurashev shares sixth with nine points.

Brandon Hagel became the fifth Blackhawks player on the season to notch his first NHL goal on Tuesday night. Chicago leads the NHL with 16 goals and 32 points from rookies this season.

...okay caught the highlights...er...lowlights on this one. Zaddy looked like unshaven ass. That 2nd goal against was a complete defensive cluster. Subban looked rattled. Boqvist looked like Reginald Denny put there.

Hoping tomorrow looks better.

Disappointing , kept hearing Miracle in my head YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH TALENT TO WIN ON TALENT ALONE.
Very rough game for 16.

That was cool seeing Q and Sutter shaking hands afterward, two old-school coaches there.
Kinda sad seeing Emery though.

Lame ass game tonight.

'Razor' gettin' his name on the cup and sharing a Jennings was one of the real highlights of 2013 for me.

The boys were due to lay an egg I guess and it's HARD beating a team five in a row. The back to back will tell us a bit about the team and where a few kids are at......I expect a very focused Kevin Lankinen tonight.

Please bring back Beaudin and end the Boquist debacle. Also, Subban is a backup, and only a backup, even if he did get a shutout.

Hawks really need to win this game if they are determined to make the playoffs.

March is a terrible month on the schedule. If they can play 500 during March a playoff spot is a lock.

Still think they should tank tho

Point predictions???

I'd gladly take 11 points right now and move right along.......prob is, trying find a way to 11 seems impossible

Getting 11 would be nice, but if they give up 45 shots against (like tonight) it will be ugly.
