Coach Joel Quenneville said #Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews will not play vs. Wild. Dave Bolland also out.

Toews said he has passed NHL concussion protocols but indicated he is not completely symptom-free.

"I'm very close to that," Toews said. "I'm just tying to work my way back to whatever that might be. There are always little things here and there that trigger it. It's not a perfect thing that I know what to expect at every given part of the day. It always seems to be different. I'm just tying to make sure every part of my life is back to normal first."

Added coach Joel Quenneville: "(Toews) is going to come on the trip but we're going to rule him out. It's all part of the process."

Meanwhile, center Dave Bolland also will miss the game against the Wild with an upper-body injury. The veteran will make the two-game trip and could play vs. the Red Wings. Veteran winger Andrew Brunette is questionable to play as he recovers from a right foot injury.

Gonna be awfully thin at center tomorrow night.
