I live in Sayreville, NJ, a great town in Central Jersey. I love it here, and wouldn't think of living anywhere else even though I can well afford to. This week though was a disaster for Sayreville and football. I do not understand what is wrong with these kids. Sayreville is or should I say was a football powerhouse. But what was going on in the locker room is probably the worst thing I ever heard of in my life. Yeah, when I was a senior, we picked on the freshmen and sophomores too, but this is ridiculous and terrible, and is now national news.

http://www.nj.com/middlesex/index.s...l_nature_of_locker_room_ritual_exclusive.html

It would start with a howling noise from a senior football player at Sayreville War Memorial High School, and then the locker room lights were abruptly shut off.

In the darkness, a freshman football player would be pinned to the locker room floor, his arms and feet held down by multiple upperclassmen. Then, the victim would be lifted to his feet while a finger was forced into his rectum. Sometimes, the same finger was then shoved into the freshman player’s mouth.

That's pretty fucked up.

Also, why the hell would you stick your finger up another dude's ass?

If I was that freshman and they did that shit to me, Idc how big they were... somebody is gonna be taking a bat to the knees. **** that.

That's the way I feel too, why would you want to do this. One kid whose name seems to be coming up ironically enough has or probably had a full ride to Penn State for football. These kids are probably looking at 5-10 years if they turned 18 yet.

I heard of juniors aka noobs on varsity at Hoffman Estates (where I went) would have to perform atomic sit ups at the players only workout. Luckily for me, I didn't have a car or someone who lived near me who would drive me so I never found that shit out in person. If someone here doesn't know what an atomic sit up is, I will not explain it. Someone else can take care of that.

And the idiot parents are having rallies complaining about the football season being cancelled.

As dozens of players and their parents railed against the school board in an attempt to coerce it into reversing the superintendent’s decision to shut down the Sayreville football program, details of the “serious” yet undisclosed allegations of locker room misconduct were unveiled.

I wouldn't want football season cancelled either. You're penalizing the bad kids but you're also penalizing the good kids who worked hard and just want to play. Penn St. didn't cancel their season after the Sandusky news.

The Penn St. situation was quite different. In that situation it was known that there was one person (a coach) guilty of sexual assault. In this case, it surfaced that seniors were doing this to freshman as a ritual. And this is 17-18 year olds with 14-15 year olds. Kids are being interviewed around the clock as they try to determine who all of the guilty parties really are. It is a mess, and certainly not an atmosphere where the weekly football game would fit in at this point. Further, there is a rule that if a team forfeits 2 games, the rest of the season is automatically forfeited. Last Thursday night's game was forfeited when this first came out, and they certainly are not ready to play this week. Finally, it is pretty much assumed that the entire coaching staff will soon be fired.

And just for the record, Penn State was hit with enormous fines and penalties that certainly did affect the players on the team as well.

This sounds more like gang rape than hazing to me. I hope these kids enjoy having to tell their neighbors they are sex criminals...

Gotta send a message.... whether you participated in this "hazing" or you knew about it and let it happen, you deserve some punishment.

Who would be the good kids who deserve to play? The ones who got held down and fingered up their buttholes? I think they can take the year off too.
