Anyone else catch the series premiere of this new show Helix on Syfy?

I decided to give it a shot last night and it was interesting.... I will give it a chance for a bit and see where it goes.

I'll watch a few episodes. The pilot and second episode were ok. I can see myself becoming uninterested quickly though.

No. Haven't seen it. But SyFy has been hitting a lot of home runs with original content. It all just depends on what side of the sci-fi spectrum you're on.

Same here, idk what direction they are taking.... if the whole thing becomes bigger and expands outside that research facility I think it could become a really cool show, but if they try to milk the whole "Creepy Research Facillity" thing for another 10 episodes it might become tiresome.

Only major criticism I had of the first 2 episodes was how loose these people seem to be about virus infected crazy people running loose in the facility.... or even how loose they were with the infected people in quarantine.... they just left that girl in there alone with them, no guards there to assist here in case the infected people got violent. And the CDC chick who is left alone with no security in some isolated area to do the autopsy on the monkey.... again no one with her, no guards and she ends up getting ambushed by an infected person. By the end of the 2nd episode they are still just letting people move around freely and don't appear to have of locked shit down.... either its shitty writing or it will make sense cause they want the virus to spread and are being intentionally lax.... I am hoping the latter.

Yeah they have come up with some solid shows in the last 5-6 years.... Alphas was even a good one, idk why they dropped it.

You should give it a look.... the first 2 episodes are kinda like one 90 min pilot...
