Alright, here it is folks, I finally have a house, and a room I can put stuff on the walls semi-permanent like. I have a question for the other Man-Cave persons here. I want to put the sticks on the wall, but DO NOT want to put them in individual cases. I think one of you had put pictures up before of the sticks hanging horizontally, with your pucks on top in a line. That is what I want to go with.

What did you use to do this? Any other suggestions would be appreciated too. I am not worried about displaying our sweaters yet, as we have too many to put in the room I want to hang them in. So initial project is sticks, pucks, pictues and banners. Maybe if I finish the garage, (I literally have enough room to park 4 cars in it), I will put everything in my man cave down there.

These work well and are very low profile

You could probably make your own a lot cheaper if you know where to get the parts.

Those seem pretty interesting but they don't show what the hangers actually look like.

It kind of seems like you could make them as you mention but what "parts" do you actually need?

Edit: Are they some kind of U shaped bracket?

Yeah. Check out the installation page. Shows them clearly.

Ahh, thanks. I didn't notice that section.

Those might be tough to make but if anyone has ideas on how, please do share.

Money is tight here.

Bubble this is what I do and I have 8 of them on the wall this way... The other 20 or so I have againt the wall.

I take three screws. One for the shaft to lean on and two holding either side of the blade. I wrap those screws in electrical tape for the "stickyness" and also so not to scratch the stick.

I have done similar with sticks but used the clear plastic wire hangers. The reason being is that the won't scratch (unless one is an idiot with the), and I can use one that is not fully nailed in to brace the blade from the top to help prevent them from falling. Also, when not fully nailed in they swivel easily if I want to help take the stick off the wall if I want. Finally, I like the clear since the wall color shows through and they tend to not look like they are there unless you look hard.

Oh, and it Looks like you have a crack in your wall.

Khabi's stick is a little different because of the form of the stick. I had to use washers to hold it in place.

And my basement needs a paint job but I'm not pulling all the stuff down to paint it. Not a chance.

Why do players take the ends off their sticks?

Are they reusable?

Only some do.

Seabrook widdles a "knob" which extends his stick some. It takes him two hours to make the knob so he re uses it over and over again.

I don't have many sticks other than his without an end on it.

Is this a new thing since they started using aluminum/composite?

I have a Savard gamer, and it has regular tape at the end.

So does my Valeri Kamensky game used stick.

Olympic stick is very cool. Notice it has the American Flag imbedded within the stick---

It only works with hollow sticks. Because the knob fits into the hole on the stick and then is taped. One of these days Seabrook will fork over the fucking Knob. I've been bugging him for years but it's a little strange asking for his "knob".... Que puns...

I like those mounts online but have never purchased any. As stated, gets a little pricey.

My own technique (not trademarked)is to go to hardware store and buy a bag of plumbing pipe brackets

which are U shaped, grab a utlilty knife and caugh off one end make it an L shape and run a drywall screw

threw it. Works awesome as a bracket, cheap and you can swivel it to pull the stick down.
