Doesn't the fact that no weapons were found in the SUV pretty much destroy his whole "Stand Your Ground" defense? People are stupid and that's why you can't give them guns.

Case closed, it's second degree murder without any weapon.
On a side note, Florida is the only place I know of that locks people up for a joint of cannabis while allowing people to drive around with shotgun racks.
