I don't get how the NY writer finds out what the Chicago guy who works out in LA has as his super secret plan. I would think with all the media in Chicago someone here would have an 'in' with some janitor, file clerk or ball boy at the Berto who sees Rose secretly working out really hard and playing simulated games or something to be coming out with the story.

Even if he is on pace for a playoff return, with no idea if he comes back ready to be on top of his game or has trouble getting back into the flow of a game. Who knows if the Bulls decide he should only plat 9.5 minutes per half for the first three games then 11.5 per half for the next three or some other bullshit.

Sure Rose, go ahead and come back so you can injure something else six games into your comeback.

Considering most press slated the recovery time of this particular surgery at 4 to 6 months, that'd place Rose right around the short end (he had surgery November 25th). I really haven't heard anything related to his rehab, so I'm going to assume this "story" is total conjecture. Even if Rose comes back for the playoffs and plays limited minutes, I'm not going to tab that as anything that could push us ahead of the Pacers or Heat.

Rose coming back in the second round of the playoffs only to help spur an NBA finals birth is a Bulls (and DRose) fan's wet dream scenario for the season. Would i rule the possibility? Nah. However, if there was a season ending injury to the likes of James, George, or Wade between now and a potential playoff matchup, i could see an expedited return for Rose as a means of pushing us over the finals hump.

I like Rose as a Mavs fan but will he ever be the same after his knee injuries?

I think he will be a bit different. Better shooter in all likelihood but I doubt he goes to the hole as much. Truthfully, he will have a lot of help around him. This team is playing a lot differently than when he was healthy. Right now their best facilitators are their big men, especially Noah and Boozer. I've been thinking that their offense when he returns will involve him as a pick and roll option as well as a jump shooter or combo guard if you will.

Patrick Beverly decided not to get surgery on his torn meniscus. The internet blew up and had fun with that...
