Due to the potential length of the lockout, local bars around the arena will be taking a major hit. I was thinking that we can set up an event at one of these bars and help them out by watching a Bears game there or something like that during the lockout. Of course we'll never fill their pockets like all the Hawks games that they miss would, but maybe we can just replicate one of them. It would show some appreciation and effort that the fans care about these businesses as well. If we can get 50-100 people to RSVP imagine how happy the owner of that place would be during such a hard time.

Maybe it doesn't even have to be a Bears game, but we can set up an event showing a replay of the 2010 Stanley Cup game or something.

What do you guys think?

It's a good idea, but I don't think you'll even raise a flag during a bears game. No bar owners are hurting during those.

Yeah that's why I figured maybe we can do an event or something that plays the 2010 SCF games or something on the weekend? Maybe at some place like Billy Goat? One of my favorite bars around the UC so I think it would be cool to pitch that idea to them.
