It would be crazy to play any starters in this game. Teams rarely do. I realize they have a new coach and offense but they have four more exhibitions to get in some work.
The 5th exhibition did allow them some extra time to practice in camp.

That’s the crazy thing about preseason. We all miss football and want to see the new personnel but the cloud of potential injury tempers my ability to really enjoy it.

You gotta take the preseason for what its worth...what kind of young scrubs are we sitting on and can they do anything to prove that are not just a young scrub.
Outside of the "Dress Rehearsal" game that you get to see professionals play the most amateur half of football all year...the only part of the preseason that is even remotely interesting is piecing together how your depth chart is going to shake out.
Otherwise, wake me in September.

We all want to see Trubisky and all these new toys. But I get the move. 5 preseason games is bullshit. I'm glad we have a coach who isn't going to **** around with this.

The CFL has 2 preseason games and 18 regular season games.... I would rather have that. Not only would it be more entertaining for fans, but the 2 extra regular season games would generate a heck of a lot more revenue and ticket sales.

This is good practice for our new coaching staff, so I'm super happy we get this opportunity. I dont care if the starters see the field or not. I WANT the team to keep the offense under wraps so we can shove it up Clay Matthews' ass week one.

Idk why but my brane decided to remind me of that part in the movie Miracle where the U.S. team plays the Soviet team at MSG like a week before the Olympics and they got absolutely thrashed.
