There’s really not much to like. Daniels is the better of the two and that’s pretty bad.

If Daniel doesn’t progress during the preseason, do you think they look for another back up quarterback or stick with Daniels?

He might be better with better players around him. He is in no way a qb who will make those around him better. All we can hope for is a decent game manager if he ever takes over.

The thing he has going for him is he has history with Nagy and he knows offense which should help Trubisky in the QB room.

I understand that. But if he doesn’t progress a tad or looks worse during the rest of the preseason, how does Nagy weigh this? Have a bum as a back up but knowledgeable of the offense to help Trubisky or have a more capable back up in case Trubisky goes down but has to learn the system from scratch? What do you think he chooses?

There's no reason why we can't have 3 QB's on the roster.

Do you care who the backup QB is in a season where you won't compete? (insert non-stupid answer here). Cool, neither does Nagy. He wants to coach up the QB he's stuck with, not worry about making a run with a backup.

Hopefully come Regular Season they will ease up on the flags on those type of plays.

I don’t think it was lowering his helmet. They would have said that. They said unnecessary roughness. So the hit was too hard and would have been better for him to just wrap him then tackle. Soft nonetheless but it’s the rule.
