was expected starters wouldnt get any time but im excited to see how irving, fitts at OLB show up and then also some of our young corners like tolliver, joseph, hall, orr and then on the dline...on offense we should get to see plenty of miller, shaheen, nall, gentry etc...

You gotta take the preseason for what its worth...what kind of young scrubs are we sitting on and can they do anything to prove that are not just a young scrub.

Outside of the "Dress Rehearsal" game that you get to see professionals play the most amateur half of football all year...the only part of the preseason that is even remotely interesting is piecing together how your depth chart is going to shake out.

Otherwise, wake me in September.

Living in Indiana, I've seen my share of Colts preseason games. I remember during the Manning era, he would usually play the first drive of game 1 and the first drive of game 3. Other than that, he was nowhere near the field.

HOF no starters
Game 1 One drive if successful, two if unsuccessful
Game 2 Starters play into the 2nd quarter
Game 3 Starters play first half and a few drives in Q3
Game 4 No starters.

I personally enjoy seeing the guys that are going for broke in the preseason, trying to make the team at all cost.
A couple of good plays could be the difference in making the team or back to working as a car salesman for another year.

Those guys are fun to watch... but also why I dont want to see the ones and twos in there... Imagine Mitch getting his leg snapped by a kamikazee maniac tossing himself around trying to make a highlite play.
Entertaining, but dangerous for the real players.

NFL Network just showed the Bears entering the stadium. Howie Long goes over to the fence with a bunch of fans standing around on the other side and talks with one guy, it was Roberto Garza. They chat, then fist bump over the fence and go there separate ways.

I am excited to see Nall and Mizzell carry the load tonight. Both bring a little different skill set to the team and preseason is going to be their opportunity to shine.

Yeah, Bears pretty much already know who is going to be on the team. There are just a few spots up for grab the rest of pre-season.
