Wims looks like the best of the bubble receivers. Its just one preseason game, but if he has another game like tonight he isn't going to clear waivers to the PS

Needs to play against 2nd stringers in the next two weeks.

Not sure if Fowler is showing more in practice, but he needs a huge outing to get on the 53. Same said for Marlon Brown, but he has even smaller chance of jumping the guys ahead of him.

We should of had a TD on our first drive of the game as well with that ball that hit Fowler right in the hands but he dropped it and then Chase had the INT off the guys helmet.

Except Bray! Color me not impressed.

The play that impressed me was the 30 yard sideline completion to Wims. That was a beautiful pass. He showed more promise than Chase Daniel did. I was not impressed there.

You clearly don't live in the South.

LOL. Yup. I was recently in Chicago with friends and we drove past a high school that shall remain nameless..... but has a great history for winning in Illinois. My friends looked at the stadium as we drove past and said "What's that?" I said, a "football stadium." At which point they started laughing and said "you're kidding"? The thing was probably 5 times smaller than an average stadium down here.

I could've sworn that Toliver returned to practices leading up to the game. Was he healthy enough to participate in drills and practice or is he still being held out from that? Does anyone recall?

I was really really hoping they drafted Harold Landry with that pick they took J.Daniels with so this could end up being one of my biggest Pace misses. Daniels is very young though so i'm not gonna judge his career off of what he does this year. Looks like Kush could take the starting LG/C spot anyway with Whitehair playing the other.

We're fucked if that happens. Kush is a career journeyman and should never be starting unless there's a few injuries along the line.

Are you ever wrong about anything?
Did I miss something? Daniels is the lineman, Daniel is the backup QB, no? If that's the case I don't know why you feel the need to be rude about it.

Yep, it's pretty insane seeing $60 million stadiums in the South, and then finding out that a high school team plays there.

Thing is, Kush might have to start because there's a good chance Daniels (with an "s") won't be at starter level yet. Yes, Kush is not optimal but he might be necessary to start the season. I don't know how bad Daniels' injury is nor do I know how well he's performed at camp overall.

Fair enough. If that's the case though, then Pace should be blamed for getting rid of Josh Sitton without a reliable replacement ready to go.

I've never been a fan of Pace deciding to move on from Sitton this year. Didn't make sense to me. I suppose they planned on drafting early and/or someone stepping up. Either way, here we are...

K.Tolliver as well. Did he even play last night or is he still hurt?

Didn't play. Of the UDFA DBs, Michael Joseph might turn out to be the gem. He was unhearalded and worked his way to becoming an all star, with 8 ints last year. He also has good size, 6' 1", but played at a lower level of competition, so the question is whether he can deal with tougher competition.

Tolliver was touted as a top prospect, but with injuries and character questions, had a disappointing college career. I like the guy whose arrow is pointing up.

I hope Jordan Morgan wasn't part of the replacement plan for Sitton. He was terrible last night. Didn't look like he even belongs in the league. Go back and watch those first few drives where he was the left guard. He was getting stood up and pushed back consistently. Probably why he got hit in the helmet on that interception, because he was being stood up straight. He got abused. I don't know whats going on with the rookie Daniels but Sitton would have been the best option out of what the Bears have at left guard this year.
