Holiday Plans

What are you up to for the holidays? Anybody traveling? This will be the first christmas all of my immediate (remaining) family will be together in the same state, within the last 5-10 years. Should be a good one.

No travelling. Staying at home. Wife's off work. I'm off work. Surely I can talk Mrs. Claus into a ******* or two this week...

I'm off work starting 12/24 after lunch through 01/04. Going skiing 12/26-12/30, but it's a road trip to get there from the Gulf coast. Quality time with the family though.

Going to Vegas to see Motley Crue, then to Memphis for a few days and then driving to Nashville for a few days and seeing Kings of Leon for the Jack Daniels New Years Eve Bash. Should be fun.

My parents, a couple of my best friends, and I gorge ourselves on fondue cow or buffalo loin and shrimp while drinking entirely too much vino on Xmas eve. Followed up by the gift giving and such (my one buddy and I have a tradition of buying each other knives, this is what I got him this year [titanium carbide coated spyderco endura 4]). It's ok; was much more entertaining when my brother was around, but I can't complain. My high school best friend that has been living in South Africa for the last 8 years is in town and coming out for xmas eve, so that should stir shit up a bit.

I'm just doing the standard Grizwald Chistmas at home thing. Got the boy a X-Box and PS4, got the girl at home a shopping spree for the latest fashion (whatever, girl thing), got the college girl cash cause that's all they seem to want at that age (UT), got the wife everything she wanted plus a bad ass set of Rayban prescription sunglasses I knew she wouldnt buy for herself but winked/nodded at the sales clerk to ensure they custom ordered them. She never asks for anything but buys goats, rabbits, chickens and ducks for families in Africa, that and hams/turkeys/coats for our local Salvation Army. I will play golf at the "Red Eye" New Year's Day golf touney which is always a blast. Nothing quite like Bloody Mary's at 0700 on January 1st... Good times.
