I have to get all new kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer. Never bought these before. Anyone have any good info on brands and features? Stuff like that? I know they all have there horror stories but I am hearing maytag and LG theses days. And surprisingly people are not a fan of front load washer and dryer because of mold and mildew forming in them. Looking to head out for the big sales this weekend and take a look but I don't need them right away.

Samsung was what I was thinking actually but I heard a couple of bad stories. What do you like other than the warranty? Have you had to use it? I like Samsung. I am on an S5 right now and love my tv.

Ease of use, longevity, quality (especially refrigerator/freezer). All appliances super quiet.

My washer and dryer are in my basement so if I'm on the main level or upstairs I wouldn't hear it anyways. But for those who have laundry rooms on main level or upstairs washer and dryer can be annoying. Dish washer is literally silent.

I have an S5 too and it rules.

I've had the Samsung TV that's in my spare bedroom for 7 years now, still works like it did on day one. I have a total of four Samsung TVs in different rooms of my place and had ZERO problems with any of them ever.

I'll hate to look at them more closely. Washer and dryer will be in the basement so that doesn't matter. How do they compare price wise. Also, most importantly can you turn off any alarms to be silent? Our washer and dryer a year ago you couldn't turn off the alarm when it was done which is hell with a sleeping baby.

Does your fridge have the freezer in the bottom. Folks are telling me that is good to do too.

You're always going to pay a bit more for Samsung products but I honestly think it's worth it.

I have a 8 year old Panasonic 50" plasma that still looks as good as new. We have a 19 year old Maytag washer and dryer and both still work great.

Not sure about the newer stuff, but can't complain about the ones I have.

Kenmore used to be the 'go to' brand for washing machine. They are absolute pieces of shit now, especially if you don't have a water softener. Lifespan is running around 5 years for them. I don't know shit about shit, other than to avoid the horror stories I've heard about Kenmore.

You will always have bad stories. Every brand there is for a given product, you will meet people that swears they are the worst.
