Gonna try making some beef jerky this weekend.
Anyone have a good standard recipe? Gonna use the following for this 1st batch.
For this batch using the following
4 lbs of top round sliced against the grain in some 1/8 in and some 1/4 in (in a dehydrator the top shelves dry faster, the thicker meat will go up top)
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/2 cup of worsteshire
1/2 cup of water
3 table spoons of stone ground mustard
1 teaspoon of paprika
2 teaspoons of onion powder
4 teaspoons of garlic powder
3 teaspoons of kosher salt
2 teaspoons of chili powder
3 teaspoons of cracked black pepper
1/4 cup of light brown sugar
Would have liked to add some crushed red pepper and more black pepper, but the wife has a tough time with spice.
What's everyone else doing?
