I love hearing about how he was to the other players. I don't see how you can praise the genius of Phil for his hippy philosophy on team dynamics while ignoring that he knew he had Jordan as an ass kicker keeping guys in line. What some call being a jerk, I call mailing guys accountable. Jordan demanded that guys were all in and he fulfilled a necessary role. It's one of the many ways he was great. I don't just appreciate the championships and disown how it happened. I appreciate the championships and that Jordan did what was required to win those championships and this includes what some call being a jerk.
