How big of a game is Sunday's Bulls vs. Heat?

Personally I'm not putting much weight on the game. Last season we crushed the Heat in the regular season, only to lose in the ECF 4-1. With Deng and Rip nursing injuries, I really only see this as a stepping stone. A win would certainly give the Bulls more confidense, not like they need it. The Bulls have a rough 9 game road trip starting with the Heat, so hopefully they can maintain momentum throughout!

We didnt exactly crush the Heat in the regular season, every game was close.

If Miami wins, its eh. We want to win this game to prove something, but whatever. If its a close game I think that says enough. We play them 3 more times this year and right now it looks like we won't have Deng. Thats big for us. Wade is back for Miami giving them a lot more.

I know if we lose this game this forum will have its typical overreaction to a loss that it always does. Either will blame Noah, Boozer, Rose, or Thibs for whatever happens. Some of those who only post when something negative happens will come out of their hibernation just to post that we can't hang with Miami, that Miami will beat us constantly and in the playoffs because we aren't on par with them. They'll also say things like Rose can't play when guarded by someone taller than him, but then offer zero solutions to that problem.

If we beat them with Deng, Hamilton out and Gibson, Noah, Watson, Rose all not being at 100%, I think we can order tickets for the finals!

Even with a win I don't want to read to much into it, again, IF we win. I hate the heat but they are a good team! I am sure people will be coming out of the wood work if the bulls lose. Many people like to draw in the negotives. I have a few friends who are bandwagon Heat fans. They weren't Heat fans until the big 3 got together. It's hard to imagine jumping teams as much as some people do just so they can root for the new "cool" team!

I despise the Heat, especially since they have the stink of Riley, but this game is only important for playoff seeding. I care more about getting key guys (MVP, Noah, CJ, Luol, etc) healed up and keeping good players fresh than winning one non-playoff game even if it is against the hated, almost certainly Satanic Miami Heat.

hahaha you certainly aren't the first person to suggest this shirt. My buddy Scott has been on my case about this. Have actually had the shirt done for a week or so, forgot until you mentioned it! Will certainly have a CCS day on the website, will have a special section for shirts where they are discounted heavily for everyone here! Won't take any profit for that day.

lol trust me, it's not a new idea. However, if we do get a new idea that we don't have so far, you would certainly get a few free shirts! Working on a "Get your tickets to the Booz Cruise" shirt now!

Should be a great game. Hopefully Rose can overcome the tough defense and the Bulls pull out the win as a team.

This is a ridiculous notion. So the Warriors beat the heat w/o Steph Curry are they punching their ticket to the finals ass well??:lmao:

Evey team has off nights and any team can beat any other on any given night.

I'm not going to put any weight into this game. We're hobbled right now, especially if Rip and Deng don't play. Heat just got Wade back and that's gonna be huge. There's no way we can survive with Korver starting this game. I'm not sure if Butler will have the confidence to come in and play big minutes against these guys either. If we at least had Deng and Rip playing, I'd say we can pull out, but either way, it's just a regular season game with a playoff atmosphere. Not really that important, but it will be crazy fun to watch.

Really looking forward to that game.Should be a good one.
With Rip and Deng out, heat are the favorites.
Still,I won't get too excited even if we win them.
It's just a regular season game.

Hopefully Korver doesn't start.. I'd like to see Jimmy stepping up.

I hope so. I think Jimmy is a much better defender than Kyle, whom I don´t wanna see guarding James so much.

With Brewer on Wade, Butler on James and Gibson on Bosh, we should be ok. Not all right, but at least ok!
