Sox fan living in New England---I don't get to see the White Sox until the regular season starts. Can anybody tell me their impressions of Abreu so far? What I read in the articles is that he has a great work ethic etc...but what I read in the box scores it typically 0-3 or not playing. Can someone give me an honest assessment of him?

Its only ST so stats mean nothing. But he does have ton of power. He barely hit a ball and it almost went for a home run.

I live in Jersey, but caught a few at-bats on the MLB channel.

He has above average power and good plate discipline.

Looked pretty bad on pitches low and away, but it's spring training, so... might take a few more months before he gets used to big league pitching.

I like his stroke. It is a simple one and strong. He has a simple trigger and seem to be on balance throughout the swing. I expect a lot of production from the middle of the order by he and Garcia.

Maybe but you can really see the talent in these new players. I know it is spring training but I just like what I've seen of these guys.

Davidson looks like a guy who will strike out quite a bit. If he can hit .250 at 3rd, I'll take the strike-outs because he will hit a lot of mistakes for home-runs.I am not worried a bit about Eaton, Garcia, and Abreu though. All of them will hit.

I saw a replay of the world bb classic where abreu hit a GS and it was an upper deck moonshot....i think he might end up being the mini big hurt or at least the little hurt
