I personally dont care who they play in the first round or what the matchups are. No matter what at best they get through the first round, at best. Thats even thinking about the matchups the can happen.

LOL, if we are the 6th seed we get the Pacific Division leader.

Considering this -it will be against the first team to work out that if the Hawks get played physically -they will fold. Bonus points if this team has an average to decent penalty killing team.

Basically the Hawks are akin to a football team without a kicking game -so they are pretty much hamstrung from the start.

What round it happens in is sort of a moot point, as all it takes is someone coming in with the St Louis game plan, and the Hawks will be golfing shortly thereafter.

what.is.your.point.

No point, just asking. Too lazy to check when I was on my phone. Bitchin use of periods though.

If they can continue the winning trend with the steady goaltending from Emery while eventually getting Toews back before the playoffs, I like their chances to get to the second round and fight out a good series against whoever they meet.

I like what I've seen from Emery. Bickell has played better. Bollig adds a little to the 4th line. Bolland steps up in the playoffs. And as laughable as I think this is- Frolik is a tiny bit of a wild card given his nice playoff performance last year.

Of course if Smith can't get this power play in shape in the remaining 12 games then it will all be for nothing because if you can't capitalize on powerplays in the playoffs, you go absolutely nowhere.

Can I ask if we get a 100% healthy Toews or not because that makes a pretty big difference in the team we have?

Right now, exit in the 2nd round. I need to see more though. I'll reevaluate right before the playoffs start.

really at this point lets be optimistic and assume that Toews comes back like he never left, never got a concussion....They were still playing bad when he was in the lineup. All is does is make it a bad team to an avg team at best if he comes back.again thats assuming he doesnt miss a beat when he returns.

Emery is still pretty soft. He has a .906 sv% and that I dont see changing. Do I choose him over Crawford? yep.

frolik just sucks. he is a bust of all busts.

leg time is a concern for the defense, especially leddy who looks like he is up and down which isnt good.

ahhh too many problems to go on

I'd say a 2nd round exit, but I could see the 'Hawks beating Detroit if they play them because Red Wing players are dropping like flies to injuries.

With this team currently playing its best hockey without having their captain and best player, I'm slowly getting more and more optimistic about the postseason.

Team defense has been real, real good lately. Best way to steady a shaky goal situation? Keep pucks from getting on net. Hawks have been doing that real well of late.

Maybe April won't be the end of the season. Maybe.
