1. If the defense continues to improve, just alex smith decent for us to make the playoffs.
2. Minimal Matt Stafford decent(not amazing but very good)
3. For passing on thomas/adams who are potential HOF talents he better take us to the promised land. Drinking the koolaid hard.

With the current roster he will need to be damn good for the Bears to start winning. With that being said he is accurate and doesn't turn the ball over so a lot of those close games blown by Cutler/Barkley could be different.

I'm happy with the trade regardless of the outcome because MT is a legitimate talent at QB and Pace took a swing.

I want to see flashes from day 1 but he deserves a few years to show he's the man or not.

He needs to be a difference maker that there is no question that we build around him.

honestly i'd be happy with jeff garcia level of performance. or like trent green when he was with the chiefs. i'm just tired of our qb situation being embarrassing. competency would be welcome

If he produces like Cutler but with half the interceptions then it's a win in my book. Shit I might settle for just 2/3rds of the interceptions.

1. I don't think Aaron Rodgers could make the playoffs with this team against this schedule..
2. Wipe Cutler from the record books in 10 years.
3. For me to be happy, lead us to playoffs between 2018-2022 twice

If he becomes a consistent top 16 QB that's reliable injury wise, and a good leader, I think that the pick would easily pay for itself. A guy like that could start 10+ years here and raise the offense out of the basement.

Flacco level or better. I'm not a huge Flacco fan, but he's been decent.

Bears need to give him 2017 to sit and learn behind Glennon, and 2018 to play and learn through mistakes.

And from 2019-2030, if he'll have these type per season averages as Bears starting QB:

4000+ yards
24+ TDs
-12 interceptions

Then he'll be considered as a franchise QB and successful pick by Pace in my book.

* with further pussyfication of NFL rules (making it a QB friendly, passing league), average yards and TDs demands could go up to 4400+ yards and 28+ TDs per season

Good enough for us to win a Super Bowl with him under center while keeping the team in the playoff hunt annually.

To be worth his draft value he needs to be a consensus top 10 QB by year three. I have no idea if that can happen but it's not an unreasonable expectation.

If by then he is not considered a franchise QB then this draft will be looked at as the beginning of the end for Pace.

If the QB situations were the same on each team but the rest of the team remained the same, the Bears would be a better team than the Packers. If the Packers were to lose Aaron in the preseason, they'd probably end up with one or two wins (assuming they didn't trade for a QB).

1) if he's good the bears will win. Generally, it's just a fact of life in the NFL.

2) I'm happy with the trade.

3) for the bears to win the Superbowl, I actually think they're defense is a lot closer than were giving it credit for. I don't think the secondary is as bad as it's being made out to be anymore. I think you're looking at a top 10 defense this season. Having said that, they need competent play at QB to win the Superbowl. I think they are one year away from being legitimate contenders to win the whole thing.

Doesn't matter. He's already being booed at public appearances, and he's done nothing wrong and hasn't taken a single snap.

Bears fans are so conditioned for failure that they carry no hope, ever. Other franchises that take QB's, there's a sense of hope and excitement in their fanbase. Not this one.

There's almost nothing he could do to win over the fanbase, short of winning MVP and a Super Bowl.

1. Be a game manager that is capable of Redzone TDs more frequently than Hoyer.
2. I would be happy if we compete in the division/playoffs and MT makes average talent look better
3. For the HOF committee to view him as a First Ballot .... crazy right
