How much on average could I get an Xbox 360 for and where would it be cheapest?

I'm getting 100 bucks next week and am trying to save up a little bit to finally get one.

Best bet would be a refurbished one. if you go that way, definitely buy a extended warranty for it. Just In case

Ya, eventually... for starters I was intending on getting the Xbox Live Free Membership so I could just get some demos and stuff and buy more games, extra controllers, and full Xbox Live later. Working my way up lol.

Up to 134 bucks now, I get 100 from my grandparents next week, but then my youngest brother offered to chip in 8 bucks plus the 26 my parents owe him to equal 134.

Few questions though:
1) Will demos be enough to keep one occupied until more money is available, I realize games are like 60 bucks each I believe, so I won't be able to get much of those to start with. I saw that I could still get the demos for FIFA 12, PES 2012, NHL 12, FIFA Street, NCAA 13, Tiger Woods 13, and I believe I can get those with XBL Free membership, correct me if I'm wrong.

2) When I do get a better subscription for XBL, how much will it cost?

3) Where can I get more controllers cheap?

4) A refurbished from gamestop will be fine, right?

5) Game recommendations for later?

I'd assume that length of playing time would not be an issue with a sports game though, because you could just play again and it is still entertaining, right?

2)- $59.99 for 12 months, $24.99 for 3-Months, and $9.99 for 1-Month. (all cheaper on Amazon)

3)- check Amazon often, they usually have deals every now and then. NewEgg as well. Gamestop for Gamestop brand controllers.

4)- I'd avoid the old model 360. If you can get a refurbished slim, that's the way to go.

5)- 360's main exclusives Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable, then all the AAA multiplatform games like Assassins Creed series, GTAIV, Red Dead Redemption, BioShock series, Batman Arkham series, Dead Space series, Oblivion & Skyrim, Fallout 3 & New Vegas, Mass Effect series, Dragon Age: Origins (not Dragon Age 2). Also arcade games like Limbo, Torchlight, Braid, Guardian of Light. Those are cheap.
