Hi everyone,
My friend mud was questioning that you're not true fan of bear. My friend mud wanted me to pick team quickly during this season. I have good feeling to pick the Chicago Bears Fan. This is probably weridest way to become fan.

After I joined the ChiCitySports, then it has influenced me to become Bears Fan. I don't have good reason yet why I joined the Chicago Bears. Mud pointed me out my faults that I didn't answer his question right.

His question was "Who was head coach in 80's?" I answered him, "Armstrong." He told me, "wrong."

I'm hoping to develop good reason on why am I chicago bears. It would help me to become closer step in becoming better Chicago Bears Fan.

Tell what you think.

Knowing who the head coach was in the 80's does not make you a fan. What makes you a fan is if you feel emotion when something happens either good of bad for your team, and that is all that matters in being a fan.

Thanks, it's how I determined I didn't actually like the St. Louis Cardinals, and was actually a Chicago Cubs fan.

you dont have to know the details of a team past in depth to be a fan, just enjoy the team you cheer for and forget about the rest. if it is the bears focus on what is going on now, not what happened when mike ditka was coaching. learn the current team by posting here and by going to the bears site and looking at the rosters. if you see a player on the bears making a play and you dont know who it is, look up the name on their site and see what they are about. just have fun with it man. dont let your boy mud sway you from trying to be a fan. look, we all had to start sometime learning a sport and players.....just focus on the now my friend and ask us questions.

Armstrong was the head coach in the 80s(80 and 81). Your friend is dumb. :D

My friend mud is like my slightly older brother sometimes. He tends to joking around with me. I got stand sometimes in my team interest over his team Seahawks. He talks thrash on our loss aganist them. I don't care about that loss. We will heading to playoff, but their team isn't good enough to go far like us.

How you decide to be a fan to a team doesnt matter. As stated before, a true fan will experience emotional reactions when something good and bad happens. They are also Loyal beyond a doubt. You can still be pissed at your team for many reasons. Ironmike is a prime example, but hes still a Bears fan when many disagree with his views. And the fact he doesnt quit is a sign of a true fan hands down. If Da Bears are in your heart, it doesnt matter how much you know, you'll learn as time goes on.

Good post. Except ...

IronMike says you are not a true Bears fan unless you want Lovie Smith to get fired, because if you don't want Lovie fired, you
don't care if the Bears don't win the Super Bowl.

Don't listen to IronMike.

I think its because he wants to see the Bears become an elite team. A team that has a chance every year rather than once in a blue moon.

I KNOW that's what it is. EVERY Bears fan wants that. But he says if you don't think Lovie HAS to be fired in order to achieve that goal, then you are not a true Bears fan.

With 3 division championships in 7 years (more than Green Bay and Minnesota and Detroit), some people think it's the fault of the guys actually playing football that they haven't had more postseason success. Lovie didn't pick all those guys. He just coaches them.

I know and agree. Lovie isnt or rather shouldnt be the focal point. No different than Cutler to the O and Urlacher to the D. Cant pin the faults on one person if we fail. And after this season, Lovie aint going anywhere now. But I cant help respect his stance either. Whether we agree or disagree on any subject, gotta respect his consistency lol.

sometimes Cutler's showing some superstar flashes, so I hope they haul ass to fill up the gaps in the o-line and inject some youth in our defense so we can really see this team thrive on a consistent basis

Definitely agree with the o-line. Cutlers our best chance at QB in a long time. If we can get a solid line, Forte will be explosive as well. Right now we need a damn good corner or two to really stop the passing game.
