Memorization of random facts is one of the least impressive factors in intelligence, IMO. Problem solving skills, common sense, inventing, creative skills, social skills, all rank higher to me.
Most people aren’t all that intelligent. Having solid math skills and regurgitating things you read doesn’t make you intelligent. Doesn’t make you dumb either. But intelligence is thrown around way too often.
