FWIW

Said all the Watson talk is garbage, it was started by an irresponsible reporter.
Teams have been trying to get Caserio for 5 years and the reason he took the Texans job was because of Watson.

He doesn't think that Mitch will be back

He doesn't think Arob will be tagged and he will hit the open market.

so how do Pace and Nagy plan on saving their jobs? trading up for a QB who won't have a safety blanket to throw to? trading for Matt Ryan? trading for Stafford?

..and if the plan above goes bad blame it on the roster again.

We'll be having the same presser this time next year with at least the same 2 ppl on top acting exactly the same way they did today.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
This is going to be the greatest 2-14 collaboration in league history

I'd be okay with 2-14 as long as Pace doesn't trade away every draft pick we have in an attempt to save his job for one more season.

But that's my real concern. Pace and Nagy do everything they can to put some patchwork, half-ass team together, just to lose their job, and fuck over the next regime.

Seems like George wants Bears to fail miserably and get the #1 pick next year. That way, they clean house and get a new GM and coach that will build the team. Big contract guys will be traded for more picks and what have you.

Sorta like what Chucky did/is doing for the Raiders.

speaking of the Raiders, Mariota is an 11mil cap hit who will either be cut or traded.
I could see Pace getting him.

You're giving him way too much credit. It sounds like they're going to really focus on the QB position and realize Nick Foles or Mitch isn't good enough lol....be prepared for another 7-9/8-8 season. The defense should be improved with Goldman coming back and Pagano gone.

I think they'll try to trade for Matt Ryan. He likely won't cost a 1st round pick, although you never know.

What we know...

Hide the Pain Harold is our new HC.

Abe Vigoda agreed to being a wide out (finally!)

Ricki Lake is in at MLB.

“Scissoring Sara” in at defensive coordinator. Not sure who she is, but seems quirky and fun.

The schedule is so brutal that even if, magically, the defense returns to form, and even if, magically the o line plays like it did the second half of the year, and even if, magically, we get middle of the road QB play from someone, we're still looking at 8-8 at best. If all those things don't happen that is a 4-5 win schedule.

Whoa, winning 4-5 games with a brutal schedule might get Nagy and Pace extended until 2030

Bah, you got me excited for a second. Thought the Bears might dig up Abe Gibron to take another shot at coaching.

Hopefully they don’t waste the #1 draft pick in 2022....

Least he aint scared to run.....yet

Wait till nagy coaches it out of him this season!

How does Nagy coach playmaking ability out of someone who never had it ?
