I have heard it will degraded to a level 2. I hope so because I am not there to weatherproof my house. All of my friends are getting out of there. Is it bad I am only worried about my truck? lol

It's going right up the east coast line. What state is your house in? North Carolina is expected to be hit the hardest.

Virginia is gonna take a whalloping as well - unless he lives on the west side of the state which may be a little better.

Supraman should be experiencing some of it too in Florida. While the hurricane isn't going to run across the state, the back tail of that thing just off the coast has got to be creating some high winds in the area.

I'm in Charlotte working this weekend and so far it hasn't even rained. It is not windy. It is humid as hell and was overcast today. That's all I got for ya.

If it aint cat 4 or 5 it aint a big deal. Signs get broke, trees break, roof shingles peel off but no major major damage. Francis reminded me of a breezy day in Chicago

Depending on the storm surge. When you are just slightly over Sea Level you can very quickly be fucked.

Just some extra swimming for you Florida folk. Would suck having my truck 10ft under water!

To many variables play into it. A cat 2-3 storm could cause lots of serious damage. Look at Galveston or the Bolivar Pennisula in Texas a few years ago.

Exactly. Katrina was a Cat 2! If a surge hits at high tide is a double whammy.

Irene made landfall where a family friend has a townhome on Carolina Beach, a few miles north of Cape Lookout.

It is where we go offshore fishing. He lives on a peninsula that gets devastated by the surges of these storms even though he is on the back side of it and on the waterway. Hoping that area made it relatively unharmed but am doubtful of that.
