I swear, if I hear the term spaghetti model one more time....

In all seriousness (assuming current predictions are accurate) Best wishes to the Florida bros, and possibly those in Georgia and Bama.

Check in if you're in the spread area so we can make sure you're all good after everything passes. We have a ton of Tampa/Ft Meyers IPs that hit the site daily, so even if Irma goes elsewhere, you guys have a chance to say hi to your neighbors.

That's kind of hard to do when you live on an island unless you offering to take in 20-30 million people living in Caribbean island countries.

Hmm the waitlist seems long as African Americans still waiting on theirs after almost 200 years.

And yeah I figured you meant just the US but just wanted to point out there are a lot of folks outside the US affected.

Aren't the Bahamas basically 100% Prepared for a hurricane at all times?

Oh we generally don't lose lives because the homes have cement walls and not this stucco shit over here but it still causes damage.

Matthew caused around 500 million in damage for a country of about 250k people. My parents' and sisters' homes bascially lost a lot of shingles and part of the roof.

I was literally just home this week for a job interview and my sister had just finished spending like 25k out of pocket to finally fix her roof. It might be ready just in time for Irma to blow it off again.

My immediate family is on the main island which has more infracture but the other islands get it much worse. There were some places after Matthew that didn't get electricity destroyed for over a month. Granted the local power company is so unreliable that a lot of people on the other islands have generators but those cost a lot more to run so a lot of times people only run them a few hours a day and then go the rest of the day without electricity.

Cago34 lives in SWFL were I used to before the mountain trek. Have my dad and friends still in SW FL. Hope it isn't to bad, but you never know with these storms. Have my gear ready to head down and help my Dad out if he needs it.

Can't you build a Dam big enough to withstand this hurricane with all the trees you cut down?

No football in Miami this weekend. The game will be moved to a neutral site or played later in the year. I blame Cutler more than Irma.
