Ill admit though, I am a giant homer. But every player on this team has a ton of potential.

De Aza: Great speed, showed he could play last year

Rios: Great speed, great defense. Offensively he has struggled, but he was an all-star, and still is in the prime of his career.

Viciedo: Great power. Everyone's been callin for him to get a shot.

Morel: Admitted at times he was nervous, second year as a starter I think he becomes a very good 3B.

Ramirez: Great glove, and one of the top offensive SS in the league.

Beckham: All the potential in the world. One of the top prospects coming out of college.

Konerko: Gold glove 1B, great power.

Dunn: When he puts it together, 35HR, 120RBI guy.

Im excited for the season!

Me too, actually. I'm not sold on the Tigers' rotation and the Sox have a lot of intangibles.

Sox could still win the division.

You guys are high

I truly admire your optimisim. I wish I was that optimistic. However, I think we all need to calm a bit before we start saying the White sox could win the division.

Be careful what you say about De Aza; many people here think he's a joke. For the record, I'm not one of those people. Though it was fewer plate appearances, besides PK, he's the only one on the Sox who had an OBP over 350 last year and is, in my option, the only viable lead-off guy the White Sox have unless someone else proves themselves in spring training. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's great by any means, but when he's the best lead-off option, that says a lot about the team.

Speaking of OBP, the White Sox struggle in that regard mightly. Obviously, if they can't get on base, they can't score runs; and, they've had a history of not being able to bring in anyone from scoring position. I'm not sure what has changed that would make any of us think they're going to start doing that.

Regarding Dunn, I agree. It can't get any worse with him and history has shown that the larger the swing between a player's norm, the higher the likelihood they will trend towards their mean the following season. I'm tempering my expectations for Dunn in 2012, but I think he'll have a good season (provided he doesn't K his first AB and get booed, then his season is over).

If Beckham has another bad year, he's done. I thoght last year was his make or break year, but with the managerial and coaching changes, I'll give him one more year.

I'm really excited to see what Viciedo can do.

Again, I admire your optimism. But, like I said, there's nothing that the team has done that suggests they're going to get better at getting on base and driving in runs.

I'm projecting 73 wins.

I hope I'm wrong.

Never said they would win the World Series or even the division for that matter. I do think they have the potential to be a very good team though.
