If you dont feel like reading it, basically a set of parents arent telling anyone including close family members their childs sex. Because they dont want the kid to grow up with preconceived notions of what it is supposed to be and allow it to choose how it wants to be.



Being *** isn't a choice, and these people need to learn that as much as the right wing bible thumpers.



They are going to end up confusing their child even more.

I saw this earlier and was going to post this too. It says they aren't even telling the grandparents. I am very open minded, but this is a little too progressive for me. By the time the kid is old enough to make any actual "choices" they will be in a situation where they are around other people. Are they just going to let them pick any restroom to use? They jumped off the progressive tree and hit every branch on the way down. In resistance to intolerance they took the polar opposite root and became just as fucking nuts in the other spectrum.



Its annoying because what they are trying to do to begin with is impossible unless you shelter your child for as long as possible, this kid is doomed if it gets home schooled.

If they dont home school the kid , I feel bad for them when they are royally disappointed when it becomes just like any other member of its gender.

First off he is clearly a boy. Second this is dumb, if he ends up being *** or straight it has nothing to do with whether people know if he's a boy. It is pretty easy to tell the difference between boys and girls. Especially when he hits puberty. So just let him be a little boy.

Yeah you really do have to feel bad for them. If they choose on their own to do something that's one thing, but parents forcing them to do it isn't fair to them. You got to let your kids be who they are. Even if you don't like their choices.

yeah these parents are doing more harm than good. People will be who they are no matter what, it's why kids rebel and do shit the opposite of what their parents want? I wish canada was like those countries that make people get their name accepted by an official country registry or whatever... I think one of the scandanavian countries does that? There is nothing that says these kids won't change their names when old enough, anyway. Besdies, it's not like a lot of kids nowadays are estraning themselves from their parents and disowning them.



Still, there are more ways to nix the idea of gender roles without being all secretive about their naughty bits.

Its just stupid, there is no way that they can accomplish what they set out to do. You cant hide your children from these outside influences, period. All you can do is share your values with them and hope for the best.
