Brian Scalabrine should never see the floor in the 4th quarter of a close game, let alone down 2 on the last possession instead of Boozer.

I understand he's our "player-mascot" and Thibs' teddybear; but the guy is unreliable in every facet of modern day NBA basketball. He's slow, white, not big for his position, can't jump, doesn't move well, and doesn't shoot the ball overly well.

I don't get what putting him on David West instead of Boozer was supposed to accomplish...and I really don't get leaving Scalabrine in on the "final possession" when you had a timeout...that allowed the Pacers to leave him WIDE THE HELL OPEN and double the ballhandler, forcing Scal to beat you. And of course he doesn't.

Rough coaching tonight...I understand your back is against the wall with these injuries to Taj and Lu, but D-League fodder is better than Scalabrine...

Just being honest.

Embarassing loss to the Pacers tonight.

I'll probably get roasted for this, but I can't stand Scalabrine and all the love he gets.

Well when you have no Taj and youre looking for a better defender than Boozer on a defensive possession, you put in Scal. The dumb move was keeping him in after we got a stop and pushed the ball up court only to see nothing was there on the break.

Bulls - Deng - Gibson < Pacers. It wasn't an embarrassing loss. It happens. But, yeah, Scalabrine should not have been on the court.

I think Thibs just saw Drose accelerating in the open court and did't call the timeout. He should have called it.Good offense though but Scal wasn't the guy to be there.

Why not put in Asik then? But either way, we should have taken him out of the game for Boozer or even gone small and put Korver in if we really wanted a 3 on that play. But you know what? It doesn't matter. We played pretty bad anyway and still only lost by 5.

He's everybodies favorite. It's fun to cheer (hell it's not cheering, it's a glorified point and laugh @ Scal...I honestly feel badly for him) for him when we're up 20. But he belongs NOWHERE near an NBA floor at this point in his career. At one point he couldn't knock down a set-shot 3. Now...nothing...

And as shown by tonight, if he can't do the ONE THING he entered the league being average at...why is he on the roster?

Yeah good question but it is whatever. 1 game, 2 best and most versatile defenders werent playing. We're a better team than them and if we meet in the playoffs, it will show.

Asik had a shitty game. In fact the entire bench mob had a rather shitty game.

Rami,

The Bulls are better than the Pacers without Lu and Taj. We were up 10 at half and had more than enough chances, but gave it away. The referees were questionable in the 2nd half as well, but I won't touch that.

I'll leave that subject alone. This is about Scalabrine....

How about Luke Babbitt?! He's rotting in the D-L, has upside, and he's a similar mold to Scal. If Thibs wants to keep Scal, give the dude a suit and clipboard!

They got a lot of second chance points and a lot of our shots didn't fall in the second half. That happens from time to time. Onto the next one.

By the logic of your own statement, the Pacers were playing sloppy basketball in the first half and gave it to the Bulls. Then, they turned it up a notch and stopped turnovers and then won the second half by 15.

Bulls minus Deng minus Taj < Indiana. Sorry, it's true.

Spot on. The defensive rebounding was horrible outside of maybe 1 minute.

We're also playing Rose @ 80%, Rip @ 80%, Noah with whatever hand issue he has, as well. We'll agree to disagree about that one...

But do you disagree with my statement that Scal doesn't belong on the Bulls bench unless he's wearing a suit & tie and carrying Thibs' clipboard. I just don't see a reason why you need a short, unathletic power forward with no jumpshot, when there are bigger stronger guys in the D-League (Babbit, Yi) that can be your 12th man.

I think we're taking this a little too seriously. It's one game, what does it matter?

As a fan (And I suppose players too) you want to win this game as its the first game in awhile you've played a playoff team. In a way it looked more like the Bulls got caught with their pants down tonight. They are missing two key players and our Superstar is hobbled with turf toe (I think he really demonstrated that he is limited tonight). Thats why its a little upsetting.

Really makes me wonder how we're going to look against Miami. Then again Miami is struggling to beat teams such as Detroit, that also makes me wonder. Either way, if I were Rose, I dont think you can stop him from playing against Miami, but after that, I'd sit him out the entire road trip.

I dont see why you have such an issue with this. If he makes the 3 do you go on these rants? It was Thibs mistake to keep him in. Scal brings high IQ to the end of the bench. mentoring, great teammate. Like Hunter did for a couple years. The Bears offered a contract to Oberto. Theyre not satisfied with him being the 2nd PF with Taj out.

Seriously, Scals only supposed to be in the games when its already decided. Hes good for the locker room and younger players. Relax. Deepest team in the league and youre whining about 1 guy.
