I got hit by a cop car last night

So I live downtown and I was craving a gyro so I decided to go to Greektown. I'm about a block from it when I start to walk across the street at a crosswalk. I still had the walking sign when I notice a cop car turning the corner, directly into me. It wasn't going very fast, but it was fast enough to carry me with it for a couple feet. The woman inside stopped right away and the look on her face was of pure fear. I told her I was alright and that we were all good and just kept walking. I'm not one to blow situations out of proportions, so I didn't feel it was necessary to get angry with her.

I didn't really get hurt from it or anything, but I'm thinking I probably could of at least gotten a free gyro out of it.

How would you guys treat the situation?

Otherwise I'd just walk away...not worth my time to make a huge fuss out of it.

It wouldn't have made sense to make a big deal about it even if you actually got hurt. There's no way you would've won a case against her.

Cops are human too. I only have a problem with cops that act above the law(and so do some cops too). As long as you didn't get hurt, no foul, no harm.

So true. I see cops fly down the road all the fucking time. The other day I was trailing behind one and this ****** swerved off the road but quickly recovered before he hit a mailbox, if he was trailing me I'd get a reckless driving probably.

Yeah, but there are movements within forces that are upping the standard for most cops. Like the "Oathkeepers". Who knows if they'll ever have the majority, but I'm not about to discredit the good guys, for the sake of the jerks that give everyone a bad name.

I got dismissed from jury duty simply by saying I couldn't trust the testimony of a police officer because I'd seen too many of them lie.

The judge spent a good 5 minutes trying to convince me otherwise.
