In 1990 Walter Payton owned a "second" house 4 houses away from me. This was his hideway and where he brought his "friends". The properties there were all one acres so everyone had a small garden tractor. The street wasnt widely travelled so I would make a very wide turn into the street. Walter was a psycho behind the wheel and always speeding. On the turn around I didnt see him and he didnt see me. He missed me by inches and my life passed in front of my eyes. He got out of the car and we had a good laugh.

This was one of 3 times he nearly killed me driving. One was him sppeding the wrong way in a parking lot and the other was him playing chicken with me on route 72 in Hoffman Estates in his Lamborghini
