I have never been so wrong

About 10 years ago I was working for a major computer manufacturer. We unveiled a newly introduced tablet to a major utility company. They were luke warm to the concept and I felt the same. Thought this would never catch on. Boy, was I wrong. Being wrong on 1 of 100 predictions is bad enough, but if I had had vision on this and where it would have gone, I would have made some big investments in it.

I bailed on Apple Stock after it finally climbed back up to about $27 a share. Everything Apple has done since then has reminded me how dumb that was.

Being wrong like that hurt my grundle. I really thought they were finished...it was all but over at $12 a share. If I had tripled down and let it ride...for crap sake I'd be rich, minus taxes of course.

Worked out well.

Agreed. I remember thinking "where is the keyboard?" This thing will never replace the laptop and people will never pay for more than one device.

I have also been thinking about the whole smartphone phenomena. Every teenage I see has one, even the ones that come from poor families. They have nothing else but their kids have smartphones. Then I asked a few teens I know (guess I could have asked all the teens here) if they would rather have $200 of new clothes or a smartphone and they all looked at me as if I was crazy
