I'm getting a bonus in a month or so for being at my new job for a year and a half and will be getting a raise this summer. It's a union and public service job so I don't have to fight for any of this, there's an entire department dedicated to making sure this stuff happens

I wish I was union honestly. Some of these bosses think they can get away with treating the employees like shit. I get paid a decent enough wage though, and I do shit right so I don't have to worry about it too much. I'm just trying to get off this part time bullshit. It'd be real nice to get a consistent paycheck from week to week. Right now, I might get 30 hours, or I might get 18. Kind of sucks.

A lot of hourly workers are seeing their hours being kept under 30 per week to keep workers classified as part time, thus avoiding having to provide healthcare/ Obamacare . Thanks Obama.

4 months into my new job and just got a 1% raise. They ended up giving me an end of year review even though I got here in September and never got an initial review because I came in so late so they could justify the raise. I guess they like me here.
