I love storms...

Sitting out in my back porch right now and a storm fired up out of nowhere. I love listening to a good thunderstorm rolling in...the wind, the change in the air, lightning and rumbling thunder coming in from a distance. Down here they get pretty magnificent if you're into that sort of thing.

Anyone else appreciate a good storm?

Yeah, I like them too. I also like the colors of them... like, before some of them start, it could be greenish/yellowish outside... and it's pretty cool.

They scare the shit out of my dogs though... and that can get annoying because then they're all over you and shaking and shit.

I actually have a terrible habit of getting drunk and walking around my neighborhood in the middle of the night in my underwear during storms. It's actually been an unusually dry summer in Chicagoland, so I haven't had as many opportunities to do so this year as I would like.

I currently reside the 'burbs and was born in rural Pennsylvania, so I can't really speak for the "city folk."

I like them, as long as my power or satellite don't screw up.

I've been wanting rain here because its been dry and my yard is getting dry and grass is struggling. Luckily some rain came in earlier and soaked us pretty good. I've only been down here in Texas for about 6 weeks so I'm unsure of the weather patterns as of yet. I know I'm supposed to keep the ground around the foundation watered when it's dry so I've had to do that. I'm in a newer rented home so I can't screw up stuff like that.

Yes but we dont get them around here, which makes me sad.

But then, we also don't get insane humidity, 95 degrees and mosquito swarms.

Hell yeah! Unfortunately Colorado doesn't get really great thunderstorms too often so I have to wait a while in between storms. I love huge snowstorms too, it's so peaceful to watch and/or walk(or snowshoe) around the neighborhood during a blizzard

I am also a storm lover, granted its not powerful enough to knock out electricity or do damage to property.

I spent a summer down at UIUC for a summer session between my Junior and Senior year and there were 3 or 4 quality thunderstorms.... I spent the evening sitting at our living room sliding glass door watching the storm and smoking hookah, sounds depressing unless you enjoy watching storms lol.

There was a pretty big one in Chicago yesterday. Bunch of trees where I love were snapped in half. Stuff was all over my backyard too haha.
