Rockford IceHogs coach Bill Peters takes assistant job with Detroit Red Wings - ESPN Chicago
Good Luck to him........I guess
CHICAGO -- As coaches from the Chicago Blackhawks organization lead prospects in drills this weekend, the head coach of the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL resigned to take an assistant job with the Detroit Red Wings.
Bill Peters led the IceHogs for the past three seasons but has moved on to his first NHL coaching job.
"I want to thank him for his dedication to the growth of the Blackhawks organization and certainly wish him well in Detroit," Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman said in a statement.
Peters worked with current Wings coach Mike Babcock in Spokane of the WHL back in the late 90's. He was 122-97-21 with the IceHogs in three seasons. No replacement for him has been named.
Good Luck to him........I guess
