Byron Scott said he would be interested in becoming a candidate to coach the Chicago Bulls.

Vinny Del Negro, who has led the Bulls to playoff appearances in his two seasons in Chicago, has another year left on his contract, but it's widely speculated that Del Negro will be let go as soon as the season is over.

"Chicago is a city I love," Scott said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "I spend time in Chicago during the summers, and coaching [the New Jersey Nets] in the Eastern Conference, I've been in Chicago a bunch of times.

"I wouldn't hang the phone up, let's put it that way. And I do think Chicago is going to be one of the better jobs that's available, if it's available."

I'd be fine with Byron but he isn't a top tier coach. He is an improvement over VDN but isn't really going to make us much better imo. I also doubt that Jerry is gonna be willing to pay him 5-6 mill a year for 3-4 years.

i'm not sure who else is available.
svg doesnt seem to want to leave tv, and i'd be disapointed if he did. Hubey hasn't coached on any level before, and the bulls probably would hire such a candidate, but i dont want to go through the VDN experiment of a head coach with no experience again. Ewing might be interesting.

True, there aren't any better options at this point but I would wait and see if someone gets fired.
