No. He hasn't been used properly since 2018.

It's like Nagy figured out how to use him that year and then decided to start running him between the tackles.
Agreed. Nagy would use him for 1 yard side line passes because he thinks he is the sevind coming of barry sanders

I've got to disagree there. The problem isn't that Nagy doesn't know how to use Cohen, the problem is the weird obsession Nagy has with trying to make gadget players like Cohen and Patterson far bigger parts of the offense then they should be and how predictable that makes his play calling and scheme.

I hope that's what Nagy is trying to argue right now to save his job.

AND THAT IT'S NOT FUCKING WORKING!

Does that change the offense? this year
Do you mean more runs straight to the sidelines? More runs that end up out of bounds just before the first down marker?

He isn’t all that.

2019, he should have been a ticket taker

Cohen was starting out strong this year and running with a purpose I thought. Running game and line looked much improved overall first few weeks

but cohen wouldn’t change much imo.

I do think that Cohen adds a dynamic to the offense that can make aspects of it more effective. He has a big play ability due to his speed and athleticism that was missed to a degree. But, he is not so special that losing him should completely kill your offense's ability to move the ball and score points.

As much as anything else, what losing a guy like Cohen (and the TE's in previous years) shows me is that Nagy and or at least a Nagy coached team struggles to adapt. You see this as well in regards to in game adjustments, or the lack of them relative to adjustments made by the other team.

Every team deals with injuries.

The team that just beat us lost their quarterback for four games, lost their best receiver for most of the season, and still managed to win their division by beating Tom Brady twice.

Let's not use that for an excuse.

No.

Whether they were 8-8 or 10-6, they still weren't good enough to beat good teams, except by luck. It wouldn't have changed a thing.
