Since I peel garlic all the time, I'm going to try that method and let you know how it works.

Cool, as much as I love garlic I hate when you can't get rid of the smell on you hands after ripping it apart by hand.

I hope it works!

That garlic trick is what my wife does (though I usually do the bashing). It works pretty well, but not as well as he does it.

That`s the longest and most annoying way to shuck corn I have ever seen. It takes 2 seconds to shuck a cob of corn.

That`s also an annoying way to peel garlic and messy and the less dishes it takes to cook the easier the clean up. What happened to the old fashion hit the cloves with a knife trick. Always works and it`s easy pleasy japanesy!!

kitchen tricks always suck.

Garlic is easy, I break it the same way but there's no need for the bowls... all you need to do to get the dry skin off is grab each clove with your index finger and thumb (both hands) and twist until you crack the outer peel. No bowls to clean up, might take a little longer than 10 seconds but not that much longer.

The garlic trick worked well for me. One bowl was clean and the other was just rinsed out and I made the guacamole in it. Pretty fucking fantastic I would say.

That's what I normally do, but my fingers still smell like garlic the next day no matter how many time their washed.
