I had never tried this feature out before. I must say it is ok. I Don’t have a beef with anyone, and no one is stalking me. Just some posters that I deem to be useless and annoying that I no longer have to skip past. Kinda nice.

I don't actually have Sere on ignore.

Aussie is the only person I've ever put on ignore, in the hopes that his fat thread would no longer appear for me. But it don't work that way unfortunately, although I discovered I don't miss seeing his posts, so I'll let it ride for now.

I used the ignore feature once and I found it to be more annoying then useful because anytime I came across that poster and it was unreadable, I just wanted to read it. So I don't use it and just scroll past shit posters.

You can just be an adult and not read or be bothered by a post and focus on what you like. I don’t see why the ignore function exists seems childish

Maybe if I had a gun I wouldn't be so scared of internet posts.

Do you really want to talk about childishness on this message board? There are far greater examples of that other than someone using the ignore feature. Besides, it's the ultimate in freedom of speech.

Childish? lol, Ok.

For me its pretty simple Im here for laughs and Bears talk/news. If a poster provides none of that (to me) yet spams threads with nonsense (again to my taste) then why not make it easier to scroll through? Its not about being bother by thier content as much as the clutter they create. To be clear my threshold is pretty high but, whether in real life or online, once I decide I would rather not associate with someone or something , well, then I dont. I have no malice, no hate, I just decide they aren’t my cup of tea and move on.

As far as these rare posters I ingore actually posting something I would find funny or insightful... I think Im good if I miss the 1 in a 1000 post they might someday make.

I used ignore on posters that had massive pics in their sigs- had an ancient laptop working on a jetpack and it made browsing the threads a *****.
After upgrading I didnt need to use it anymore.
