Ignore List Transparency?

Just a suggestion that perhaps might improve user experience on CCS.

There are several posters here who consistently make claims public of having users on ignore, sometimes approaching gaggle levels and I think it might be useful to have this information available to verify these claims.

1. It would cut down on "****posting" from posters posting at those posters who have them on ignore.

2. It would make "ignore list brag" postings no longer a thing, which would reduce cringe levels on CCS by a significant amount.

3. It would promote the use of the ignore feature for posters that share similar sentiments, much like how on spotify you can publish your playlist for likeminded music enthusiasts, but in this case, it's a "not playing that" list.

I look forward to others' feedback on this suggestion.

I have never ever ignored anyone on the internet. Imagine getting so upset over pixelated text on a computer screen that you just can't scroll right past.

I made this comment before, but I think that when you put a poster on ignore...that poster should get an alert that they are now being ignored by you. This saves that poster from talking to a brick wall for months on end.

Does the last even happen though? Most people with extensive ignore lists read 90% or at least roughly halve of the posts they ignore and many times reply to them, or at least make another post announcing to others that they have the ignored poster on ignore.

It has been brought to our attention that user @brett05 has a mod on his ignore list and refuses to take him off. Mod ignore is not a feature other posters have available. Would it be possible to make this available to all members so brett05 isnt forced to have his account deleted or banned to come back as brett06, without a mod ignore feature?
