Glad it's Lehner tonight, he was spectacular last game.

Lehner deserves the start tonight. No doubt.

Colliton Reveals Tonight's Lineup Against Philadelphia.

The Chicago Blackhawks host the Philadelphia Flyers at the United Center tonight and they'll try and avenge their loss to the Flyers in Prague.
Head coach Jeremy Colliton has been trying a couple of different combinations and he's revealed what he'll go with tonight.
All of Colliton's new forward lines will stick together as Kirby Dach will keep his place with Dylan Strome and Patrick Kane.
On the blueline, Calvin de Haan will step in for the injured Connor Murphy on the team's first pairing.
The most interesting choice is that Colliton will stick with goalie Robin Lehner.
Here's a look at tonight's full projected lineup:
DeBrincat-Toews-Shaw
Strome-Dach-Kane
Saad-Kampf-Kubalik
Caggiula-Carpenter-Nylander
Keith-de Haan
Maatta-Seabrook
Koekkoek-Gustafsson
Lehner

The goalie change is two-fold. The hot hand, and the match-up has at least two factors as well. They beat Crow once before, so throwing them a change-up is a start to making things not seem familiar or comfortable. Furthermore, I'd say Crow's netminding style theoretically is neutralized by the Flyers, making rebound control less relevant.

Therefore I won't complain about the potential lockerroom chemistry of it.

Lehner earned the start after his effort the other night. He is the only reason I have some hope they may win tonight.

Like Strome on the wing - I've been for moving him away from center since the end of last year. His deficient skating makes him a defensive liability at center.

Don't like the top line - they were all but invisible against Vegas . Toews' frustration is starting to show. It's time to get Saad up on that line.

That third D pairing is going to be scary every time it's out there. Could be the difference that leads to a loss.

I know it's still early but this has the feeling of a MUST win tonight. 3-2-2 coming out of a seven game home-stand sure will feel better than 2-3-2. (basically 2-5) With a couple of tough road match ups against Carolina and Nashville and then the Western road trip it's time to get this thing moving in a positive direction or else they will be out of it by U.S. Thanksgiving.

I would almost like to see Saad and Kubalik move up with Toews. Kubalik has also played great and it would at least keep some semblance of the 3rd line in tact. Maybe demoting both Debrincat and Shaw to 3rd line would help spark them offensively, in that they would be facing the opponent's bottom six instead of top six. Shaw is ideally a 3rd line player anyway and Debrincat could use a good kick in the ass with a demotion, as he's been underwhelming so far.

Although I can't blame Colliton for wanting to keep the lines as is -- the current 3rd line is by far our best line and it's understandable that he'd want to keep the 2nd line in tact for Dach.

tweaking the ultimate line I came up with 3 blunts into a long night for strome change.

Strome/cat-Dach/strome-Kane
Saad-Toews-Kubalik
Cat/shaw-Kampf/dach-Perlini/Shaw
Jewels-Carp/kampf/dach-Smith

with rotations

Both Kubalik and Cat are much better players when there is someone willing to go to the corners and dig out pucks to hit them with a pass for an instant shot. We have doppleganger player is Shaw/Cajewela. We have the passing guy with Kane.
Kane wants to play with Dach. Kubalik seems to like the right side like Kane does, so just does not seem like they can be on the same line. I would love to see Kubalik on the first power play unit though, I fear we will have to watch Nylander there again tonite.

Just makes sense that it starts with Kane dach, and Kubalik toews. It seems like Kaner is putting his foot down about this line, if he cannot have Strome and Cat, he wants Dach and whoever as long as he gets double shifted somewhere.

I constantly watch three hawks going to fight for a puck and nobody in any dangerous shooting position. Pop it back to the blue line for a 60 footer with nobody in front of the net. Someone needs to stay home. Opposition seemingly always have someone right by the blue paint.

Yeah...I gotta stay open minded about Strome-Dach-Kane.

Somebody has to shoot more and hopefully that is Kaner. Together they can get more favorable face-offs, which they both kinda need, so lets see how they do.

Same with Cat-Toews-Shaw, there is alot not to like about it, but all it takes is somebody to start scoring and lets roll.
Prove me wrong please.

At one time I proposed Cat-Dach-Strome as one solution to our problems, and so this is just an upgraded version where Toews needs to produce if he is getting Cat. Our worst defender gets the best, and Kane gets a couple strapping lads. Big grin.

I don't like it for a season, but I do like it for tonight or a playoff scenario.

I think I like the way these 4 lines will function if they can start scoring.

There's not really another option aside from keeping deHaan with Gus and throwing Gilbert with Keith. Keith/Gus already proved more useless than a ****-flavored lollipop--so the only way that should be an option is if they're trying to tank the season.

We want to keep Keith performing. Can Gilbert/KK do that? I don't know. Gus can't. If nothing else deHaan gets rewarded for putting in a yeoman's effort keeping Gus sheltered, and Keith does look a lot better if he's not trying to bail out a 13th FWD.

Besides with the last change we can somewhat keep Gus sheltered.

If the Hawks lose this game I sense I will have a melt down.

Perhaps the day has come I give up the ghost and accept the Hawks suck.

Enough of this shit, this team came half way around the world and punched you in the mouth. This is our ice and its time to hit back and make this game a hell fest of pain and hockey pucks to your teeth if you want to get out of here with a win give your life!!

At just 18, I sense Dach is ready to carry the torch. He has waited and stayed paitent, and this is his moment to put a franchise on his young shoulders and provide the energy and sacrifice required to purchase a win in this league. Every line has veteran leadership tonight, and every line has a youth. Lets go get some and put it together!!

Hawks 6-2!!
