The Hawks come limping into the holiday weekend with a couple of players out. Artem Anisimov was placed on IR and Vincent Hinostroza's status tonight is also up in the air. Fortunately for the Hawks, the Avalanche come limping into this game as well, but that's because they suck at hockey. Colorado has lost five in a row, including shutouts in its last two games -- one being a 6-0 pasting by the not-so-good-either Toronto Maple Leafs last night. This team also lost 10-1 to Montreal a few weeks ago, so there are plenty of reasons to check the "Give-a-****-ometer" on many players wearing Colorado colors tonight. On the tail end of a back-to-back, on the road, facing one of the league's best? Certainly seems like a good chance for the Hawks to start a new win streak.
