Blackhawks got off to a slow start, got better. Two PPs didn't score on either, but looked good on both.

Niemi has been good through the first period. Hawks need to get more SOG and start attacking his weaknesses.

It wasnt a bad goal. Its not that Crawford is a bad goalie, he's decent enough but he just won't win a game for you. Niemi is winning this game for the Sharks. He did some of that here in Chicago. When you're going bad you need that sometimes to right the ship. Doubtful that we'll ever see Cory doing much of that.

I think Corey actually does that a lot (playoffs last year) and has the opportunity to.

The problem with that goal was that Toews deflected it, so Corey never saw it. Went off Toews and off Crawford's pad into the top of the goal. Just two bad bounces.

Im just not seeing it. Ok, his numbers were pretty good in the playoffs but the bottom line is that he and his team were bumped out in Round 1. Its pretty much we're seeing this year as well....he's pretty good but no way he's ever gonna be that guy who shuts the door and allows his team to win a game or two that they dont deserve.

Niemi really isn't that guy either. They both have their good games where they seem unbeatable. Tonight was like that for Niemi. He's good.

Hawks lost. Basically because they didn't capitalize early, on PPs, and Niemi was too good to beat. SJ's only goal was just a lucky bounce/good faceoff win on the PP.

I disagree. Niemi will get those wins for you. When he is on he is tough to beat. He's also very good at being clutch, makes the big saves when needed.

Niemi has been cash against the Hawks. They eventually got back at him last year and ran him from a game, but aside from that one game- he's been a wall against Chicago.

And it's hard to call him clutch after his playoff performance last year. He was not good at all (though he did have 1 good game against Vancouver). He didn't steal any games like he did in the Chicago/SJ conference finals. He was unbelievable in that series for the Hawks and he went back to being average in the Stanley Cup finals.

He has good and bad. Got hot in 2010 playoffs. He's good but so is Corey. Probably equal in playoffs
