With the Bears vs. Dolphins game only 4 days away... it seems like Mother Nature is sending in reinforcements in the form of Hurricane Ditka, a powerful category 4 hurricane.

Sounds like landfall will be later this afternoon. Be safe all Florida CCSers! Anyone in the path of the storm?

Also, hurricanes aren't shit. As long as your city doesn't spend money on dumb shit and has infrastructure in place to deal with some flooding. *Cough* New Orleans and Houston!

Almost no cities have the infrastructure to deal with flash flooding and then slow flooding from hurricanes. Especially when rivers fill with the billions of gallons of water that gets dumped. Williamsburg got 30 inches of rain in a day. Then you deal with wind damage, downed power lines, trees, structures, etc.. Later comes the drastic increase in mosquitos. More pests and vermin move in as well. Sometimes it’s weeks or months before the water disappears completely.

They’re not fun.
