My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I think this is going to be a runaway statement for the 'hawks and they win convincigtly, or a complete wake-up call and they lose resoundingly. I'm hoping the former.

3-2 Hawks. Panthers aren't a complete joke anymore, unfortunately.

Most importantly, Dave Bolland comes home tonight.

Is this a Jagr vs Hossa game?

Oh...and when lineups get posted, is it possible to paste the Panthers lineup? I would love to get more familiar with our opponents and who they are pushing against us.

I think that lineup is pretty close to Q's eventual Custards last stand.

Quit fucking around with TT and Shaw at C. Find a third center. Probably Danult. Hinostroza gets the chance with some interesting wingers first. I'd like to see McNeil on that line before we axe him forever. His speed might not be as much of an issue with Garbutt, and TT makes up for his stick and gives defensive soundness. Then Danult. Then a trade.

I think that Rasmusen guy Roddivich...something like that....I think that guy eventually might be 3C, but Kruger could be gone by then.

why you gotta trouble me about my soup brain. I live in the mist. The truth comes together out of the vague connections but you can't expect me to be detailed and know the difference between custard and Custer.

I'm just glad the fourth line is back together. Why **** with a championship line? Its a godsend to have Shaw improving so it seems, Kruger signed cheaper than value, and Desjardins too.

Let them play together and continue building chemistry. Thats a stopper line, you gotta roll it. 1LW and the third line will sort out eventually even if it means blowing up the only line producing consistently to get it all right.

Garbut, Dano, Tikhonov, Bickell Where do they go, and is TT a center. That should be our only concerns! Leave 2 and 4 alone for now, Q, master changer.

1 more thing until the game. I'm fired up early and can't wait.

About Bickell....he is still a unique player and excellent enforcer if we can get him right. The NHL is changing and I think we have hit a transition where he isn't valuable against every opponent, depending on the stakes of the game, the rivalry, and the opponent players.

He obviously isn't worth his salary. But there are still teams where Q would want him on the ice. Wild/Blues/Bruins off the top of my head. Or to matchup against anyone with a severe intimidator, maybe a Montreal. Bickell has value, but is he the reason Dano is in Rockford?

Thinking deeper on Stans cap issues and this roster formation....I have another theory nobody will like on Dano.

Dano is emergency trade bait right now. AA was the target for Kane long term. Great...you do that for your superstars.

Dano was necessary to balance the trade if they wanted Paliotta probably, in addition to Saad's immense value. So....what does this all mean?

It means we have a serious franchise issue at defender created by the bullet we took to move Sharps salary. We had to pay them to take it, and Johns is still killing me.

But what if a top 3 defender goes down again after Keith? I mean we would go from barely holding on like we did last playoffs, basically one of the greatest defensive performances by those 4 defenders in 30 years. We can't ask them of that, we already needed one more.

Now we need 2 more.

If you expose Dano to the supposed "lottery line" of Toews-Hossa that will get you points and get you paid, thats great if he produced immediately at a Saad value. But if the line is struggling the blame will be on Dano and you would lose your emergency trade bait if we end up having to pull a trigger for a defender.

I just think something sinister is going on because he seemed good, he has some fantastic skill and Q loved his low gravity and scrappy nature. They are either taking a look at the rest of the roster, or holding that chip in case of emergency, as the roster is so cap tight and the real big trade pieces so few. Who else could we move other than an untouchable?

4 of the next 7 games are on national TV by the way.

If I wait to buy Center Ice I will still get the Lighting, Anaheim, Kings and Blues on NHL network or NBCSN but miss Panthers, Wild and one other.

EDIT: Since I actually want to see the Hawks win, maybe I should get it. Thats a nasty national broadcast schedule coming up folks.

UPDATE: NHL center ice free view runs until Oct. 27th. So no misses until the wild game.
