After a visit from a Western Conference basement-dweller on Tuesday night, it's an Original 6 club hanging out near the top of the standings heading down to 1901 W. Madison tonight. The alleged BGITW gets to be the best goalie on the ice tonight since the Hawks' starter is out after is stomach exploded or something. After a hot start, the Rangers have cooled somewhat, winning just half of their last eight games and alternating wins and losses in each of them, most recently a 2-1 victory in Winnipeg last night. They'll be taking the ice on much shorter rest than the Hawks have had. Still, a steep mountain to climb without the Captain and the Crow.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

And apparently it's going to be old friend Antti Raanta in net tonight, not the former BGITW.

Hawks lines are what you expect, given the injuries:

Panarin-Anisimov-Kane
Hartman-Kruger-Hossa
Motte-Rasmussen-Panik
Desjardins-Hinostroza-Tootoo

Toews and Seabrook both still out. Neither skated today so that doesn't bode well for them playing on Sunday, either.

Also Kempny appears to be the odd man out on D tonight.

Very surprising considering Raanta started last night and Lundqvist isn't injured. They are going with the hot hand with Lundqvist not playing great as of late.

Vesey may give it a go tonight. Claims he is ready, just a coaches decision.

Can we unban Grimson just for this game? I miss his Avery rants.

Nah, Grim not in compliance, just like BHP wasn't as a mod. Funny how Rush came over to IHN with his sales pitch of how CCS is no different.

Mod uses "BGITW" created by a guy he banned.:turrible:

Hawks should get one while the Rangers are still finding their legs.

I don't count points as losses anymore.

Hard to count the 3 v 3 circus or shootout as a loss. Its an elaborate coin flip very unrelated to hockey.

The defense has been damn impressive. Darling has been stellar in his time. We had some good chances but it was Anti Raanta's night, and he has seen the puck leave most of those sticks before. I think the shooter tendencies vs goalie weaknesses advantage goes to your old net minder in a real game where good looks are tough to come by.
