For all the love that Canadians get for knowing everything about hockey, I was shocked at how stupid the announcer on the NHLNetwork feed of Hockey Night in Canada sounded last night when he stated that Brookbank was a pretty good forward...REALLY?!?!?! Brookbank?!?!?! That guy should be fired immediately if not sooner.
Other than Shaw's dumbass penalty that lead to the 5 on 3 which the Canucks scored on, it was a pretty good game for the Hawks. Crawford was really good last night, but really needs to get a couple of nights off this week.
One note on the Shaw penalty, although in real time it did look like he interfered with whichever Canuck it was, the replay clearly showed that there was no contact and that a really nice dive was made. It was still a really dumb move by Shaw on something that was leading to a 2 on 1 for the Hawks while on the kill.
On a much more serious note, I truly hope that all is well with Hossa's family. Giving that his kid was just born, I pray that there is nothing wrong on that front.

Brookbank is a stiff. But he's a stiff we might be seeing a lot of......Rozsival's is in Q's doghouse again. More than once, his lack of effort and hustle had them scrambling to clear the zone. He rode the pines the whole 3rd. Nothing new with him.
