There are some cities that grew too fast and have similar capable drivers. When 90% of your population is uneducated I guess everyone still gets a driver license but may not be capable of understanding rules. Look how dangerous it is for pedestrians and motorbikes.
I have seen Tehran, Iran in rush hour.....haha...it looks exactly like that intersection. Big oversized intersection...with everyone just doing what they want to get across, only imagine gridlock so its just a giant log jam. It takes them hours to unlock it sometimes, I'm not joking. Nobody can go anywhere once it backs up with that type of chaos. People backwards, going the wrong way, in the other lane, just gets totally clusterfucked and waste of everyones time.
And I heard Cairo is the worst in the world.

Its a cultural pride issue to be afraid of a machine. And if a car hits a pedestrian its like California where it doesn't matter, drivers fault. Their entire family will come after you, maybe 50 or so extended family might have to fight your family in the street. So you tend to try real hard not to hit anyone.

When I was in Sri Lanka they had a front end and rear end repair shop literally every fifth building. There was two official lanes of traffic but they went 5-6 wide even into the other lanes of traffic. Was pretty convinced I'd never see my wife and kids again. Great America, Kings Island....it's for tourists!
