I finally got around to watching this since it's initial release in March of 2011. Please forgive me if there is a post on this already...

If you're interested in knowing the truth and the details surrounding the state of our economy and the near financial collapse that cost the American people a trillion dollars you owe it to yourself to watch this documentary.

Being a graduate in finance with a career in banking that blew up a few years ago, I can tell you first hand that the facts are accurate and presented in terms everyone can understand and appreciate.

And also remember that the politicians will only listen to the American people if we begin standing up for ourselves and we voice our opinions.

Here's more info on the DVD:

That documentary is like dipping your toe into the pool, then claim to have gone swimming.

It's eye opening to say the least. Most of us in the banking industry knew about it as it was going on, but you also have to realize that during the early 2000's 90% of the industry had an "Emperor has new clothes" mentality... basically ignoring the reality of the situation as we all were caught up in riding the financial wave. Some of us saw the crash coming because the writing was on the wall but by the time it was obvious the momentum of it was too great to stop it.

Plus, read the reviews on Amazon and Rotten Tomatos and see for yourself. It's not just my opinion that this is a must see documentary... 95% of people that have watched it agree with me. Our problem as Americans is most of us feel helpless to do anything about it.

The US has undergone one of the greatest financial crises in modern history. It's our duty as Americans is to learn more about it and speak out. It's a great basic explanation of what happened, how it happened and why it will happen again.

It's better to dip your toe in the pool than it is to bury your head in the sand.
